My name is Heather Taylor and I love people. I have a desire to offer support and encouragement to people struggling with uncomfortable feelings, emotions, and behaviors. I have had the goal of serving in the mental health field for many years and am so excited to join the Snohomish Apothecary and Wellness Center to serve the area that I live in.
I began my education at Bastyr University, a naturopathic college, that taught me a holistic or “whole-person” approach to mental health treatment. I then moved over to Northwest University to earn my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. My education helped shape my belief that a person must address all aspects of their being - body, soul and spirit - in order to have balance and manage their health. If one area is suffering or neglected, the other areas are also affected. I want to help my clients identify where there may be imbalance so they can correct and strengthen all aspects of who they are.
My approach to treatment is to come alongside the individual and allow them to steer their own journey to wellness. As we collaborate on what goals the client would like to accomplish, I will use treatments that include narrative (talk) therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (changing unhealthy perceptions), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (changing focus and behavior practices) along with Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Lifespan Integration for settling trauma and issues of the past. I am solution-focused and will offer other alternative remedies like supplements, aromatherapy, exercise, relaxation, and lifestyle coaching with the support of other experts here at the wellness center.
My goal is to work my way out of a job and treat clients with respect and compassion until they feel strong enough to discontinue therapy. I want to empower people to see their full potential and live their best lives full of joy, peace, love and purpose.

Hello! My name is Janae Kopet.
I believe that life is a personal journey and is filled with many different seasons. There are seasons of pain, seasons of growth, of transformation, and of joy.
Difficult or challenging seasons in life can be painful and overwhelming, often times bringing things of the past into present circumstances, causing us to feel stuck or hindering our ability to move forward. My goal is to provide the kind of help, hope and healing that can be a source of anchoring amid the storms of life. My approach is tailored to the individual needs of the client from an integrated therapeutic approach in a safe and supportive environment.
I offer counseling for those experiencing a variety of mental health concerns. I believe in working with individuals to help them to identify their goals and achieving those goals through holistic treatment plans. My mission is to offer the highest level of counseling support and compassionate care to my clients. My aim is to offer a safe, ethical, and respectful therapeutic environment that allows my clients to pursue health, healing and wellness and achieve the life they desire. My hope is that every client will feel accepted and valued for the unique individual they are.
My approach is based on an integrative, person-centered philosophy of care supported by recovery and resiliency plans that outline what supports best match the individual's needs and goals. I serve teen and adult clients during all seasons of life through individual, couples or family counseling. I incorporate aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma focused therapies such as EMDR and Lifespan Integration, along with attachment, and narrative therapy approaches.
I have called Snohomish my home for over twenty years. We raised our children here, and they are now raising their own children in this community. I am excited to be joining with Snohomish Apothecary and Wellness Center in their effort to serve, support and care for the needs of those in Snohomish and its surrounding
communities.
